This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with our mobile application, Bulbee Lamp.

1. Use of Location Permissions for Bluetooth LE Functionality
We do not collect, store, or track your geographical location. The request for Location Permissions is a technical requirement by Google’s Android operating system for the App to scan for and connect to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices.
To provide the App’s core feature—acting as a remote controller for your physical devices—it needs to scan for and connect to these devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
On Android versions 6.0 (Marshmallow) and higher, the Android operating system requires apps to be granted ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions in order to perform BLE scanning. This is because a Bluetooth scan could theoretically be used to identify the location of the user by seeing which fixed Bluetooth beacons are nearby.
We want to be crystal clear about the following:
No Location Data is Collected: Bulbee Lamp does not collect, log, store, or transmit your device’s geographical location data.
Purpose of Permission: the location permission is used solely for the purpose of discovering nearby Bluetooth LE devices that the App can connect to.
Data is Not Recorded: the permission allows the App to perform a scan, but the App does not record or process any location information from this scan. Once the connection to your device is established, the location permission is no longer actively used until a new scan is required.
In short, Google’s Android OS forces us to ask for your location permission to use Bluetooth, but we never use it to know or save where you are.
2. Data Collection and Usage
